- Siren/alarm went Off
- Lifted Lid, effluent nearly at top (last time pumped it appeared to be around 8' deep, 3' diameter, if I recall)
- Opened electrical, flipped switch from AUTO to MANUAL, level of effluent started dropping quickly
- Ran until effluent was below the third float
- rinsed everything well
- flipped switch in box back to AUTO, then tilted lifted the float with shovel head, still no pump start
I expect the top float is the siren. My pump obviously works, so must be a ad float switch. I bought a Lowes $20 Piggy-Back Float Switch. It appears to be for a one float system?, mine is two, minus the alarm.
Questions:
- Can I use this float switch and just wire it in, or do I need a different type float switch?
- Which float is likely bad, the lower the middle one?
