It is that time of the year again for doing work on the yard and also time to replace some lawn equipment. I have a normal size lawn where my front yard is on a 15 degree or so incline. Last year I put down a Zoysia lawn, which is looking real nice. My only problem is is that my 2 year old personal pace Toro lawn mower sinks into the lawn as it is so plush and the "personal pace" has now turned into manual push. It was suggested to me from the outdoor equipment store where I purchased the mower from to cut the grass shorter and the mower would work better but it did not. My question is since my lawn is a normal size front yard if there is a better mower to use so I am not having to push the mower or do I just have to "man-up" and just bear with it?
Also, I am looking for suggestions for a new trimmer/edger. I have an old Black and Decker lithium battery string trimmer now where the battery is starting to go and it is not replaceable. I was looking at both gas and battery but since I only have a small yard I do not think I need a gas unit but am open to suggestions. I see that Ryobi makes good units but like I said I am open to suggestions. The edger I am looking for needs to have a blade as the string breaks too easy on a string edger.
