A water softener, a floor drain, and an ejector pump

Our basement floor is below the city sewer line. Therefore all drains go through a sewer ejector pump (here's what was installed: Liberty Pumps P382LE41 4/10-Horse Power 24 by 24-Inch Pro380 Series Simplex Sewage System - Power Water Pumps - Amazon.com). This includes the floor drain in the mechanical space.

I want to install a water softener. We had our home pre-plumbed for a water softener, so I already have the U joint. The builder said it would not include a separate drain and that we would need to use the floor drain.

Here's a picture.

Here are my questions.

1. I will have a tank drain and a brine tank drain. Would you build some sort of P trap/drain against the back wall that runs into the floor drain or just run 2 separate PVC lines to the floor drain (like what was done for the furnace)?

2. My outlet is on a wall opposite to the water heater. Can I just run an extension cord up and over?

3. Is it safe to run all that salt water into the sewer ejector pump?

Thanks in advance.
