Help with power 832 DSC

Hello everybody,

Back in 2001 I installed a DSC power 832 PC5010 for my parents. It has worked perfectly since that day. About a week ago the batteries went dead in a WLS907 Wireless Transmitter I was using on their back door. I replaced batteries and could not get it to communicate. So I replaced it with a new WLS907 and enrolled the code. It will still not see the new wireless transmitter.

Anyhow...back in 2001 I was getting to know the panel decently as far as programming through the keypad. But that was the last time i programmed an alarm panel...so I have lost a few steps...like all of them. :-) I remember this being much easier in 2001!!!

I must have changed a setting when I was scrolling around in the programming trying to get the new wls907 up and working. Because now the LCD keypad lights all go out on it after it sits idle for a while. :-)

Does anyone have any thoughts on the wls907 replacement and/or where I messed up the keypad?

Here is the complete system:
DSC Power 832 PC5010
DSC PC5132-RS
1 DSC LCD Keypad
1 Wireless WLS907 Transmitter for door.
2 hard wired Motion Detectors
1 Siren.
(I want to add a hard wired contact on front door which still needs connected. I have wore ran and ready to install.)

I programmed whole system through the keypad.
This is just a local system...not monitored.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the wls907 replacement and/or where I messed up the keypad?

Would it be easier for me to figure this out if I had a PC Link cable? I tried to find on and for some reason I do not see them anywhere online.

Thank you in advance for all your help. If it is too complex to fix via this forum I would be happy to have a DSC expert jump on the phone and walk me through it. I am more than happy to pay you for your time!

Thank you !!

Ken
