I am new to the forum, tried a search but couldn't find what I am looking for.
We have a new deck (fir, untreated). I want to use oil-based, semi-transparent stain. I have narrowed it down to TSP 100 and Sikkens Cetol DEK Finish. Both have high ratings. TSP 100 is about half the cost of the Cetol DEK but I am more interested in the best finish than the lowest price. Does anyone have experience with those 2 products? Ease of application, upkeep and durability? I would like to be able to add a coat on the horizontal surfaces every year after just a cleaning and not stripping it. Thank you!
