Hello,
I am about to start drywalling my second floor remodel upstairs. I have two bedrooms with peaked ceilings. One is a 45 degree cathedral ceiling and the other is 45 degree to a the collar ties running to another 45 degree angle.
Black and Decker, Working with Drywall states to "use 16 inch metal flashing to prevent cracks along the peak". I am assuming this is across entire width of the ceiling? Is this completely necessary.
Also, when finishing what is the best bead to use on these joints? I saw trim tex magic corner bead. Has anyone used this product. Is it worth the price? It seems a bit pricy to me.
Thanks for reading and you help,
BV
