So here are my two questions:
Here's the long story:
I'm extremely pissed off right now with ADT customer support. I had an ADT system with a SafeWatch Pro 3000 installed to a new house less than 3 weeks ago. The alarm was setup by the installer for the alarm to go off immediately, no warning if any window or back door opens. This happens even in stay mode.
I knew right away this was a bad idea considering all the activity in my house, I have several little kids in a two story house and a mother in law who will open doors/windows constantly. In my old house with ADT I had my sensors set to a delay of 15-30 seconds to give me time to get to the alarm when someone opened a door or window on accident while we were home with the alarm set.
I asked my installer while he was here to do the same, put all sensors on an entry delay of 10-15 seconds. He told me he couldn't put my windows on a delay because of safety and argued with me about putting the back door on a delay then didn't do it. He left all of my sensors except for the front door on instant trigger and told me I could configure this myself later if I wanted.
In the past three weeks I've almost broken my leg a few times flying down the stairs to turn off the alarm after an accidental window or back door opening. The alarm has startled all of us out sleep and I'm sure disturbed the neighbors, most recently for 30 seconds at 7 AM on a Saturday morning when an upstairs window was opened. This could all be avoided if I'd get 10-15 seconds of countdown before the alarm sounds.
ADT support on the phone this morning told me the same line as my installer, they couldn't remove the immediate trigger on window sensors due to security, blah blah. Then I demanded a manager and suddenly their tune changed. They said they could help me with it but wanted to charge me $80/hour to send someone out here to do it. I told them I wanted to do it myself and they said it's not possible.
It's BS that they expect me to pay them for something that wasn't done to my satisfaction in the first place. I'm not getting a straight story from them as to whether or not this is even possible and I'm definitely not going to pay them a fee to fix this, the installer should have done it. I just want to do it myself if I can but I don't have the installer code.

- Is it possible to have all sensors in the house on an entry delay, such as 10, 15, or 30 seconds before the alarm goes off?
- ADT is trying to charge me for something that they didn't do correctly the first time. Is there any way for me to set this myself?
