We've had to replace a large section of subfloor due to rot. The linoleum is old and hard to remove. Since some is missing from the repair, does it all have to be removed now? I have the best underlayment I could purchase of it makes a difference.
Also, I am aware laminate isn't ideal for kitchen which is why we went with Classen w/ isowaxx, but aside from a rubber backed rug at sink and stove, any other precautions? We only need the flooring to last about 10 years.

Laminate over partial linoleum?
