Old brinks customer

I have a 10 year old home alarm originally installed by Brinks. They have since been bought by ADT and the monitoring price keeps going up.

I unplugged the phone line in february and have not had any error messages pop on the keypad. If I cancel service is it safe to assume it no longer needs to call home?
