Hi,
I have a 6 years old Napoleon Natural Gaz BBQ (I hate it, but that's another story...).
I recently remembered that I was supposed to clean the gas pipes for spider nests (we have a lot of spiders in my area). Although I wasn't having any problems, I decided to dismantle it (the gas pipes) to clean them and make sure everything was ok.
Surprisingly, the tubes did not seem obstructed at all, and running a toothpick through each small hole to make sure it was not clogged didn't yield anything... everything was empty and clean.
I them reassembled my BBQ and have since been having A LOT of problems with the flame.
1- I now often get flare up and the fire goes all around the meat
2- The flame is generally very yellow and orange - no blue flame
I assume it is an air shutter problem, but I did put each of the 4 shutters about mid-way (half open, half close). I'm not sure if I should close the shutter (less air enters the gas tubes) or if I should open them? How can I properly setup the air shutters.
A quick search yield this page (), but I can't reply on the thread to ask the original poster what video he watched because it is too old.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here are (not so good) pictures of my problem )and picture of the shutter, although it is not in focus):
