a relative bought a home with a tiny utility room. it gets super hot in there in winter and they dont want to leave the door open because of the cat. ( also i believe the furnace needs some air too) .
its a 27 inch door which i'm finding is not common at all. so i was thinking just cut the bottom out and put in some kind of vent. is this as easy as it sounds? they said the biggest vent i can find is what they want.
assuming just drill a hole and use jigsaw to cut the outline of the vent. but it should look pretty from the inside and out too. they are fussy.
