Vinyl over fiberglass shower surround

I have a secondary bathroom that we probably only use once a year for showers. It has a yellowed fiberglass surround that looks awful. Since it is a secondary bathroom, I don't want to spend a lot of money replacing the fiberglass. I've thought about using those peel and stick vinyl tiles to cover the fiberglass. I know that vinyl tiles aren't designed to be used in a bathroom, but since they are covering a waterproof surface in a very dry bathroom- would it matter?
