This year I put out preemergant and then waited 4-5 weeks before I aerated my lawn this year and then put down about 200 pounds of Pennington's Kentucky 31 Fescue. That's about 3x the amount your supposed to put on for brand new lawns, and this a mixture of overseeding and a few areas I tilled up and started from scratch. So I probably used 5x what I should have.
The only thing that grows in that area is crabgrass. I was getting set to put out some starter fertilizer and weed control from Scotts to see if I can't jump start it, but right now, it looks like all the grass seed is dead because it's been about 15 days, and there are hardly any sprouts.
What on earth could be the problem? I'm watering pretty much every day it doesn't rain for about 30 min.
