I just purchased brand new Adirondack chairs from a local Amish family for our patio. We had terrible winds while I was at work today, and they were pushed forward, with the chair arms slammed to the concrete patio. This resulted in some scuffing up of the tips of each arm. I know nothing about woodworking, and I'm hoping someone can help me fix this. The chairs are made of cedar. They are not stained. We put a few coats of water-based semi-gloss/satin poly on ourselves. There should be a photo of the damage attached.
If I sand these down, will it change the color? How do I fix this so the scuffs are blended in? Thanks in advance!
