I need to make a custom threshold to go between a kitchen vinyl floor and lr cherry laminate floor. Abt 48" x 6" x 7/8" (assuming 3/8" lip).
I have some different woods I can use or fab it from something else. Since this is a high indoor traffic threshold, what would you build it from? Oh, and is a 3/8" lip on the portion resting on the flooring about right? Too thin and it may split, too thick and toes will catch on it.
