My family member has an Amana Model no RCC48A2B MFG no P1218507C
If the contacts are manually pushed in the Compressor and Fan engage and cool air inside so PASS
I hear a click in the thermostat but contact will not engage so auto FAIL
The unit worked last year. Removing all power and opening the panel reveals 5 small lizard skeletons hunkered around the connections of the Capacitor Poly (diagram no 0091 at sears parts direct.com)
Capacitor, Contactor 30A, Relay Start are also listed
A meter was not available to check the control voltage at the contact (24V?).
Order Capacitor or look further?
