Preparing for a new home, well in, water tested.
Results;
Arsenic 0.0031 mg/L
Calcium 23 mg/L
Hardness as CaCO3 110 mg/L
Iron 4.0 mg/L
Magnesium 13 mg/L
PH 7.5
Hardness 7.6 grains
Nitrate-None
E. Coli-Absent
Total Coliform-Absent
Well is 380' deep, 20 miles North of Portland, Oregon
Water has a yellow tinge and some sediment settles.
3000 sqft home on 2.5 acres with 2 adults and two kids (10 & 12).
Bailer test; 15 gal/min. Airtest; 30 gal/min.
Proposal so far; Kinetico 4060s OD (with ceremic media) at $4400 (ouch)
Used (2.5 yrs old) Kinetico Mach 4040s OD (with Carbon) at $900 (like)
Calculator shows estimated resin requirement of 32-35,000 grains.
I see Apec as recommended, and Clack equipment based estimate soon.
I have some DIY capability (probably can install the system myself).
Desire clean and good tasting water for the home (irrigation separate).
Thank you in advance for the excellent advice...
Randy
