I have a 1991 GMC Sierra I've had for a few years now. Ever since I bought the truck, the steering wheel has been loose. I can grab the wheel and move it in any direction a couple of inches. I can still drive without issue, but I'm ready to fix this problem. Can anyone tell me what might be broken? I have never removed a steering wheel, or disassembled a steering column. The column doesn't move, only the steering wheel at the top of the column.
