Staining Deck after misty rain?

I was all ready to go to stain my deck this morning. However when I went outside it felt very misty. I don't even know if I'd call it rain, but the railing felt fuzzy. Do I need to wait 24 hours for this to dry? There was no rain in the forecast so I planned my whole day around doing this.
