Replacing Floor Joist

I've been in my house for about a year and am now just finishing up addressing a water issue in my crawlspace.

But with the completion of job comes 10 more that need to be done. And one of those is sistering the floor joists.

The house has a block wall foundation and the floor joists span the 13 ft between foundations wall. On either side the joists runs into a pocket in the foundation. Now I could get away with sistering a few of the joists as the wood into the foundation is good. However a few of the joists will need support at the foundation.

My options as I see it are of two routes for these

1) Notch the pocket to allow another board in the pocket and span the foundation with one solid piece

or

2) Remove a good 4 feet of the old joist replace it with new wood and laminate the joist to the other side,

ThoughtS?
