Ok, I hope no one gets irritated for what might be a dumb question, but I was given a really old 20 Gal 150 PSI Sears Roebuck Air compressor but I need to know if this is 110V or 220V? Its a 2 HP motor and twin cylinder but I cant find anything stamped on it about the Voltage. I think its 220 because the plug end is three prong and the two flat prongs do not run the same direction. Is that a dead giveaway?
Another question I have is about an old Campbell Hausfeld compressor which is just a 1/2 HP 115/V. This thing was running fine last year, and now I think the motor is shot because it just buzzes when I plug it in. The cylinder is not seized because I can turn the pulley easily by hand, but once I try to plug it in, and then unplug it.. its hard to hand turn the pulley for a few seconds and then it gets easy and rotates fine. Is there another way to test it? Thanks for the feedback!
