My 20kw Intertherm electric furnace will run when the heat pump runs, but won't run in the emergency heat mode. During the cold months, my power bill was horribly high. The temp outside was below 35 degrees and the heat pump would kick on and run, the inside temp would drop 2 more degrees, and then the emergency heat (furnace) would kick in. After the furnace kicked off, the heat pump would continue to blow out cooler air. Any ideas?
