How many devices on a zone

Hi experts. I am hard wiring the following to an NX-8 control panel:

3x motion sensors

3x door sensors

8x window sensors

3x smokes and 2x heats (all 4-wire)

2x keypads

2x sirens

How many zones should I use to connect them? I have 8 available and can get expansion cards to go up to 48.

Thank you in advance. I am new to this so please pardon the simplicity of the question.

Faulty GFCI Breaker?

35 year old house, in Canada. I have always had a GFCI breaker installed and have been testing it regularly without problems.

I have 3 ext plugs into the GF breaker. I have always had a pool pump plugged into one ext outlet (above ground pool pump) without problems, ie, it has never tripped anything in 20+ yrs.

Bought a rotisserie recently, plugged it in at one ext plug, and after a few mins (or earlier), it trips. I then reset to no avail. This happens whether or not I have pool pump on. I've taken the rotisserie and plugged it into regular outlet and it does not trip anything....back to ext one, and it trips.

I've done some research. I've replaced the actual ext outlet as it looked a little old, nothing, same problem. I'm now thinking it is the GF breaker itself as I seem to appreciate advice that these things can get old. I also understand it could also be the rotisserie itself (it is a Weber, decent quality for what that is worth) as the motor could have some natural amperage micro variation, so to speak.

Thoughts? Thanks very much for any time to assist a relatively novice person on this.

DSC alarm - sirene not working

Hi, Im new to this forum.

I installed DSC alarm PC1616. Everything Works fine, except sirene.

I tested 2 sirens, both are working OK when plugged to the battery.

FIRST SIRENE:

When connected to DSC PC1616 panel, its making low noise all the time. When the alarm goes off, sirene goes off also. But there is always this low noise. I tried with resistors connected between + and - (bell ouput), nothing.

SECOND SIRENE:

It is always quiet. :wall:

Any suggestions?

Problem with Vinyl Mobile Home Skirting

Every six months I have to fix one side of the house and I'm sick to death of it. When it rains low spots form right under the track, the track warps like crazy and the bottom of the skirting goes everywhere. I fill in the dips, straighten the track, replace all the skirting, and screw it in place. Six months later it happens again, dips form, the track warps and the skirting is out of place again. I've done this probably twelve times and I don't want to do it again. I need a more permanent solution.

Drill holes in stainless tube

Hi,

I'm doing a Half-pipe / skate ramp. I have to drill holes in a stainless tube but I wasn't able to with HSS Drill tips last night (I've followed youtube video tutorials). The stainless tube is this one: Stainless Steel T304 Tube Multiple Sizes and Lengths For Exhaust, Tube Repair | eBay

Today I'm thinking about picking new drill tips ( Erbauer HSS Drill Bit Set 13 Pieces | HSS Drill Bit Sets | Screwfix.com ), but not sure if this will work ?

Can someone experienced give me some advice ? I'm using a driller ( Energer ENB463DRL 710W Percussion Drill 230-240V | Percussion Drills | Screwfix.com ) and I also have a screw driver ( Titan TTD272DDH 14.4V 1.5Ah Ni-Cd Cordless Drill Driver | Cordless Drill Drivers | Screwfix.com ).

The steps: Lubricate, do it slowly, etc.

DSC 832 will adding LCD5500 help

I have a DSC 832 with LED5511 keypads and I added WS4945 wireless door sensors. The keypads are 8 zone and the addition of the WS4945's pushed this to 9 zones so the keypad shows nothing of what is happening on the new wireless sensors. They work and alarm but I don't know which door opened. If I change to a LCD5500 can I see which door opens? Also can I get more error info than I get with the LED5511?
