GE/Interlogix Simon XT Alarm Panel Issue

I recently added a wireless motion sensor to my Simon XT panel and am unable to arm both the windows/doors and motions simultaneously. When I press both buttons, I get a visual and a verbal confirmation that it is arming both, but after the exit delay expires, the motions light turns off and the motion sensor does not get armed. The only way to use the motion sensor is to press/arm only the motions. I can't think of any logical reason why it would be doing this. I attempted to contact Interlogix directly, but they will not assist homeowners directly, which is a bunch of BS. I do not need installation or programming help, I need to verify that this is not normal and get a replacement unit.
