Hi,
I have a, "Fortrezz SSA2USR Siren Strobe Alarm Wireless Z-wave Red Lense" that I am trying to wire into my smoke detector. It is a DC device that comes with a AC adapter. I am not sure if I can wire it, but I would like to know. Please help.
I do know that the smoke alarm wires are White- Neutral, Black- Hot, Red- communicator w/ other detectors.
The siren has one red and one black wire.
If I can not hook it directly to the smoke detector wires, can I buy an extension cord and splice that in to the smoke detector connections, followed by simply plugging in the DC adapter and hiding it all in the ceiling? If so, I just need to know which wires connect to what. I can upload pics if needed. Thanks
