Hi
I have a Carrier Weathermaker 9200 Ultra High Efficiency furnace. I can't find the model number.
The problem is that the blower sometimes occasionally doesn't come on and just makes a buzzing/humming noise. I've been researching this and have turned the furnace off and on and sometimes the blower starts up for the 90 second phase. If it doesn't, I start in with my hand and it goes. Yesterday I did this and it started but slower than normal. Hardly any air was coming out of the registers. I checked the returns and there is no obstruction. After restarting the unit several times I got it to blow at the proper speed. I don't want it running at the slow speed as I understand this can overheat the heat exchanger and crack it. Any ideas? The fan spins freely with I push it and I tried moving the fan side to side and there is a LITTLE play in it, maybe 1/8 inch.Any ideas would be appreciated.
