Gas fireplace -- flame goes out but pilot light stays on....

We have a house built in 2001 with a gas fireplace. There are two switches on the wall (one for the blower and the other for the flame itself).



Over the past couple of weeks, we've had the fireplace going (sometimes for 15 or more minutes) when suddenly the flame will go out. The pilot light is still on, and all it takes to bring the flame back is just turn the switch for the flame off and on.



Any ideas what might be causing this? The "pilot flame" is blue when we've checked it.
