Master Bath Remodel- cap dead end drain?

Hi All,

Single story house on a slab in NW Florida.

Ripped out our bathtub to expand the shower. Rented a jackhammer to tear up the slab in order to reposition the shower drain in the center. The bath drain does not tie into the shower drain anywhere, so my intentions are to cap it off under the slab. I have read that "dead-end" caps are prohibited. Am I really expected to tear up the slab all the way back to where the tub drain ties into a parent drain and remove the whole line? Who knows where that is.

This particular drain is on the opposite side of the house from the street.

I dont understand why capping it off under the slab is prohibited. Please tell me there is another way. Have any of you capped a dead-end? If so, any problems?

Thanks for any help. Have a great DIY day.
