Window in a shower

I'm planning a bathroom remodel. It will require removing a large corner garden tub and building a new tile shower in its place. The only hang up is that there are currently two long narrow windows above the tub on each side of the corner. That's our only source of natural light in the bathroom, so at least one window needs to stay. What would you do? What things should I consider?

Contractors have recommended different options. Replacing them with glass block, replacing them with vinyl, replacing them with some sort of vinyl-encased 2" thick glass block, etc.

Whatever we go with, I don't expect the window to open. I just want it to look nice with the shower tile. Something tells me that going with a vinyl window is going to look tacky in a shower, even though the window sill would be tiled over.

With glass block, I think I can make the blocks flush with the tile, right?
